What the 4th of July really is to me historically

Well the 4th of July is coming up. To a lot of people it means the day of our Freedom from England. But let us remember that these men had committed treason for us to be free. Saying this I would like to take a second to let everyone know that a Government was already in place before the United States was created. These same men committed treason a second time. So what are we celebrating?
